Meet Jose Martinez Jr.
TARC would like to introduce you to Jose Martinez Jr., a Livermore resident since the age of 7, and our newest Superintendent to join the paving team. Jose originally got into asphalt as a part-time job to get through college. Once in the business, however, he was inspired by its connection to everyday life and the loyalty he found among colleagues.
“I love working at TARC,” Jose says. “They’ve given me countless opportunities for growth and have supported me inside and outside of work. It’s like a second family.”
When it comes to paving, Jose says a good job always starts with a good game plan.
“My main goal is to make sure it gets executed and that the client is happy with our work.”
When not on the job, Jose likes to stay athletic, practicing Muay-Thai and Jiu-jitsu, wrestling, and playing football and rugby. We like to think he brings a little bit of that competitive spirit back with him to the job.
“I hate settling for mediocre results,” he says. “That’s another reason why I enjoy working at TARC. They hold each other to a higher standard.”
